Nahliyah is only weeks away from turning 8. For her birthday on July 28th she will be getting a room makeover. Due to covid-19 concerns she won’t be able to have a public birthday party as planned. As always Nahliyah has been handling the pandemic and changes better than most adults! LOL. She has a way of staying calm and cool even in the most stressful of situations.
Due to covid-19, Nahliyah never returned to school after Spring Break but instead she has been home-schooled. She ended the semester with A’s and B’s. School is scheduled to start August 5th with online instruction. Tentatively, in-person classes will resume August 17th. For the foreseeable future Nahliyah will continue her classes online until covid-19 infection numbers decrease.
Unfortunately, she hasn’t been able to have much of a summer break. Her days mostly consist of trying to balance screen time and educational activities. If anyone is bored and wants to Facetime, Nahliyah would love to chat! LOL. The highlight of her summer has been her new braces. She chose pink and purple as her rubber band colors. The not so exciting part of her braces was getting 2 teeth pulled. OUCH! She was rewarded with $10 from the tooth fairy so it made it all worth it.
